Craft Show at Marlborough Senior Center
MARLBOROUGH - The Friends of the Marlborough Senior Center plan a Craft Show at the Marlborough Senior Center on Saturday, Nov. 18.
Spaces are available for $15 and the first 15 spaces will get free tables. Call Judy at 508-485-0785 for more information or for an application.
Horatio Alger Street Fair
MARLBOROUGH - Horatio Alger Street Fair is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 1, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with continuous family entertainment, Chowder Fest, pre-fair road race, Farmer’s Market, food court, truck fair and other activities. Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Florence Street to Bolton Street during the fair.

Spencer Fair
SPENCER - The Spencer Fair, scheduled for Friday through Monday, Sept. 1 through 4, is well known for providing quality family entertainment at affordable prices.
New this year is The Winn’s Galaxy of Thrills show, appearing daily starring the Galaxy Girl, America’s newest super hero, who climbs skyward 127 feet in the air to perform this amazing act. Also new this year is Comedy Juggler, Rich Potter, on stage daily with “Comedy, Juggling and other Disasters.” And no one will want to miss Las Vegas illusionist Mark Bannick, coming in directly from his nightly shows at the Stardust Hotel and Casino just for the Spencer Fair. Bannick has been compared to a young David Copperfield by the Las Vegas Leisure Guide. Other new shows this year include Chuckwagon Mac, Tales of the Old West and Randy Burns, the Mechanical Man.
There are also some returning favorites this year including Lisa Dufresne’s Horses, Horses, Horses; the Two by Two Zoo; hypnotist Russ Burgess and Dan Grady’s Marionettes.
The Spencer Fair is action packed with Friday’s Demolition Derby, Saturday’s Figure 8 Demolition Derby, Sunday’s Iron Man Rodeo with Bull and Bronc Riding, and Monday’s Demolition Derby with a police/emergency vehicle heat.
There will also be lots of traditional fair activities including horse and tractor pulls, cattle shows, live music on stage and tons of agricultural displays. There are special exhibits for parents including the Molly Bish Foundation and a car seat safety check.
