Floral Design Group offers bouquet of workshops
As a part of the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society, the Floral Design Group offers programs for those who enjoy and want to explore the ancient and modern art of floral design - for personal use, community programs and flower shows.
Meetings are held from September through June usually at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month in the lower level of the Lodge at Plymouth Village, 945 Salem Drive, Redlands.
Programs feature presentations and demonstrations by gifted floral designers, educational and creative workshops, tips on preparing for flower shows and much more.
There is no charge and anyone interested in floral design is welcome to come and join in.

All types of floral designs are being introduced at the Floral Design Group. The group will offer the following programs for 2006-2007:
Sept. l3: “In the Oriental Manner,” Madeleine Crafts, arranger and president of Las Artistas de Flores
Oct. 11: “Arranging with Herbs,” Kim Scully, gourmet cook, designer and avid herb gardener
Nov. 8: Workshop on “University of Redlands Rose Parade Float Decorating,”
Larry Crain, president of Charisma Floats
Dec. 13: Workshop on “Holiday Highlights”
Jan. 10: “Underwater Design.” Jeanny Graham, National Garden Clubs master flower show judge, and Pat Clayes, student judge and district director, present this design style which will be a part of the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society’s 95th annual flower show in April.
Feb. 13: Workshop on “Valentine’s Special”
March 14: “Mighty Minis - Miniature Arrangements,” Eloise Norton, miniature arranger, show judge and member of Las Artistas de Flores
April 1: “Flower Show Tips, Tricks and Guidelines,” presented by Jill Coleman, National Garden Clubs flower show judge NGC Flower Show Judge and her assistants, just in time for the spring flower shows.
May 9: “Tea Time in Flowers,” Pat Cloud, arranger and design instructor
June 13: Workshop on “Spring into Summer”
