NORWALK – Converting a 19th-century barn into a welcoming home doesn’t always require a bulldozer and a never-ending supply of cash.
Rather, as the sign in Lisa Jewett and Joe Remski’s new living room states, “It takes a heap of living to make a barn a home.”
Over seven months in 2006, the couple did a heap of work with contractors, architects and historic preservationists to refurbish what had been an uninsulated storage space for most of its life at 3 Belmont Place. (more…)
