Robin Campbell, marketing services manager for Young America, Stanley Furniture Co.’s youth furniture brand, attributes the evolution to young people’s increased exposure to design trends.

What does a bulldog know about decorating? Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams’ “Let’s Get Comfortable: How to Furnish and Decorate a Welcoming Home” (Meredith Books, $34.95) posits that even pets such as Lulu, their company mascot, know comfort comes first.

Curt Grams has had a bit of a change in his lifestyle.
A few years back, Grams was selling cars in Otter Tail, up in the lakes country and had been for the past 25 years.
Now, for the past two-and -a-half years, Grams has been building rustic, aesthetically pleasing white cedar furniture from a location just two miles north of Sanborn.
“It’s kind nice getting to work with my hands again,” Grams said. “I grew up working on the farm. I grew up in the Westbrook, Walnut Grove area.” (more…)
