    Your sliding glass doors may provide a physical barrier between the living room and the backyard, but that doesn’t mean that your living space ends when you step through the door.

    The blurring of the indoor/outdoor living boundaries doesn’t signal the end of cheap plastic patio furniture – for some people, parsimony will always triumph over prettiness. However, it does mean that you’re just as likely to see items such as sofas, rugs and reclining chairs outside as you are inside.
